When we became interested in brewing our own spirits, we decided to come into your shop and check out how to go about it all and what we would need.

What we found was a warm, homely shop with the friendliest, cheerful people who helped us with all our enquiries.

By the end of our first visit, we understood how to go about our brewing, and had purchased our equipment. Because money was tight, you were able to find us a second hand still, and away we went.

You also offered us a backup phone service for when we got stuck (which we did!)

We cannot thank you enough for all your help in making our first brewing effort a fun experience, and we have learnt so much from you.

Ballarat Home Brew Centre

I have always had an interest in brewing my own beer , as I had distinct childhood memories of my Grandfather brewing his own beer. I never had any idea how to go about it all though.

After hearing about your shop from a friend, I decided to drop in and finally make one of my dreams come true.

You gave me all the help and advice I needed, and set me up with a Deluxe Home Brewing Kit, which had everything I needed to get me going.

I had a few queries and was able give you a call for advice, which you gave in the friendliest of manners and with no trouble.

I have now brewed my own beer, and may I say, what a good drop it is too!!

In Ballarat, the home brew centre in Ripon St is pretty much the shrine for all things liquid amber. It's an adult version of a child in a chocolate shop.
